Larry L. Crain

Larry L. Crain is a constitutional lawyer and the founder of Church Law Institute.  Mr. Crain attended oral arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court on the Defense of Marriage Act.  In this webinar, he will address the legal implications of the growing cultural acceptance of same-sex marriage and the recent rulings by the U.S. Supreme Court.  In addition to his private practice, he has served as General Counsel with The Rutherford Institute, a public interest law firm specializing in First Amendment Religious Liberty litigation located in Washington, D.C.  While there he litigated cases on a national level in some 26 states, in both federal and state courts.  In 1994, he left The Rutherford Institute to work for the American Center for Law and Justice, also a pubic interest law firm specializing in First Amendment Religion clause litigation.  He has argued before the Multi-District Panel on Complex Litigation, and has also argued in briefs before the United States Supreme Court, as well as the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and has argued before the North Carolina, Massachusetts and Tennessee Supreme Courts.
